This is just a quick preview of LEGO 7594 Woody’s Roundup from the Toy Story line. The full review (along with the Construct-a-Buzz one) will be up later tonight or tomorrow, but I will say it’s a very neat set.
Minifigs – very well detailed, very bright. One thing that I can see irritating people – the legs and arms for Woody and Jessie are longer, and the heads are not typical Minifig heads. Stinky Pete has the half-height legs. I expected this somewhat, but it’s slightly jarring to see it in person. There are instructions for Woody even though he, Jessie, and Bullseye are already assembled and in a separate bag from everything else, obviously for reasons of using Bullseye the horse.
The buildings – lots of nice brown/beige/sand pieces. Each bag corresponds to a building/setting which makes it easy to build if you are a bit younger. If you’ve been pining away for the days when there were LEGO sets with a western setting, here’s your set. I can see quite a few people buying multiples of these or going out and buying the individual pieces. I’m looking forward to seeing some people modify this set or combining multiple sets to create a street scene.
